My work has secured millions of dollars in funding for citywide residential street improvements, for the Lynnwood Food Bank, and for tutoring students. I supported ARPA Funds for the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center, Scriber Lake Boardwalk project, and Hero's Café serving local veterans.
Appointed by Governor Inslee to Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs and Humanities Washington Board of Trustees. Formerly Snohomish County Tomorrow; Alliance for Housing Affordability; County Board of Health Chair. Currently Lynnwood Food Bank Board; Community Leadership Board, National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM); Steering Committee, Lynnwood Neighborhood Center Volunteers of America; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Cabinet, Association of Washington Cities.
I will continue to prioritize my commitment to public safety and build improved access to mental health services. I support collaborative growth planning that includes safe neighborhoods, housing affordability, maintained streets, and accessible public transit. Protecting the environment is a top priority, and I will work to ensure that Lynnwood leads in addressing climate change.
